and Florida.Summary: The Field Engineer will serve as engineering
support for our service teams assisting on complex/highly technical
or problem jobs. This role will require frequent travel to job
sites throughout a specific territory but will be based at our
sales office in Columbus, OH.Primary Job Responsibilities:Product
Support - Troubleshoot issues with existing and newly installed
equipment in the field and provide immediate solutionsWork closely
with engineering team, service team, local sales team and customers
to help find best outcomes on installed jobsOn site for startups on
all high profile jobs for National Accounts or large/complex
projectsReview and analyze data gathered from installed equipment
in order to make product improvements, utilizing our CASLink remote
monitoring systemUse mechanical building design knowledge to review
applications for customers and suggest improvements in
operationPerform 3rd party training for outside contractors on
CaptiveAire productsProvide reports to Application Engineering,
R&D and manufacturing on customer feedback/challenges, quality,
product improvements/issuesRequired Skills:0-10 yrs
experience4-year technical degree, in an electrical, electronics or
mechanically oriented curriculumHands on, technical
internship/co-op experience is preferredMust enjoy hands on product
exposureHVAC and/or electrical experience strongly
preferredMulti-tasking, problem solving and strong communication
skills a mustTraining Plan:4 months shadowing field service team,
with a focus on understanding the startup, maintenance, repair and
troubleshooting of CaptiveAire products2 months with sales office
to understand the design process for products6 months cross
training with other field engineers and the application engineering
division, including frequent travel to job sites in and out of
territory, to assist service and sales divisions with more complex
field challenges. This will include the development of and selling
of your services (Field Engineer/Construction project management
