Logistics Coordinator Reports To: Sr. Manager of Logistics and
Planning Department: Production Planning Compensation: Salary
Location: Columbus, Ohio Travel Required: None Job Summary This
role is critical in ensuring the compliant and efficient movement
of goods across international borders, supporting multiple overseas
facilities, and maintaining alignment with global trade
regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding
of international logistics, U.S. and foreign trade compliance laws,
and the ability to coordinate across time zones and cultures Job
DescriptionDuties and responsibilities: Coordinate international
shipments between U.S. headquarters and overseas manufacturing
facilities, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of materials and
finished goods. Ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade
regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, CBP, and local customs laws)
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping and customs
documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills
of lading, and certificates of origin. Classify products using HTS,
ECCN, and Schedule B codes; ensure proper valuation and country of
origin declarations. Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs
brokers, and internal teams to resolve shipping delays,
documentation issues, or customs holds. Monitor and track
international shipments, proactively communicating status updates
and resolving issues. Maintain trade compliance records and support
internal and external audits. Assist in developing and implementing
trade compliance policies and procedures across global sites. Stay
current on changes in trade laws and regulations in the U.S. and
countries where facilities are located. Support training
initiatives for internal stakeholders on trade compliance best
practices. Needed experience & technical knowledge: Good
understanding of Supply Chain International shipping and
transactions involving Europe, Mexico, and Asia Understand
inventory management with our ERP system Strong communication
skills – internal and external Ability to work independently and
manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Skills with
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Trade compliance
certifications (e.g., CUSECO, CCS, CES) are a plus. Bachelor’s
Degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience considered Physical
