Job Description:
Meijer is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to
oversee daily activities in our distribution centers, ensuring
efficient operations and excellent service delivery. Founded in
1934, Meijer is a trusted name in the retail sector with over 240
stores across six Midwestern states. This role is crucial in
maintaining the high standards for which Meijer is known, focusing
on operational efficiency, safety, and team leadership within our
warehouse environment. Oversee daily warehouse operations and
ensure compliance with safety standards. Manage and direct the
activities of warehouse personnel to achieve operational
objectives. Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through
regular audits and reporting. Implement and enforce operational
policies and procedures to maximize efficiency. Develop and
maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health
and safety regulations. Prepare and review operational reports and
schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Train, guide, and
evaluate new and existing staff. Strong leadership and
decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal
abilities. Proficient in using warehouse management systems and
databases. Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively under
tight deadlines. Certification in logistics, supply chain
management, or similar (e.g., APICS CSCP or CPIM) is preferred.
