Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Opening in Athens, OH
Columbus 74m, Cincinnati 156mA respected community hospital in
Athens, OH is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pediatric
Hospitalist Medical Director to lead a collaborative team of
pediatric specialists in delivering high-quality newborn and
pediatric care. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a
Board-Certified Pediatrician with hospitalist experience and a
passion for advancing clinical excellence. Schedule: Round-and-go
model with call from home Approximately 7 shifts per month,
including 24/7 call coverage Team: Lead a team of 3 Pediatric
Hospitalists with NICU support from Neonatologists
Responsibilities: Oversee clinical operations and quality
initiatives as Medical Director Provide care in the newborn
nursery, including circumcisions Deliver pediatric consultations to
the Emergency Department Collaborate closely with Neonatologists
and other providers Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement
(CQI) and potential clinical research Engage in system-wide
knowledge sharing with a large network of pediatric specialists
Candidate Requirements Board Certified in Pediatrics -
RequiredActive OH license or willingness to obtain - RequiredDEA
license - Must be obtained prior to start (no exemptions)Inpatient
hospitalist experience - RequiredLeadership experience - Preferred
