Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year Emergency Department experience required License: State Licenses valid in Ohio Certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Effective communication skills to interact efficiently with all customers - Ability to perform general nursing duties and complete thorough patient assessments - Capacity to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition - Willingness to float to and work in other areas as assigned Description: Provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers regarding changes in patient's clinical condition, including diagnostic study results and symptoms. Able to perform general nursing duties and assume responsibility for unit patient populations. Demonstrates the ability to complete thorough patient assessments. Demonstrates effective communication skills necessary to interact efficiently with all customers. Ability to work independently and delegate appropriately. Functions effectively in unexpected crises in a calm and confident manner. Willingness to adjust schedule to meet unit needs and accept low census as needed. Must work required weekends and holidays. Adheres to all staffing and personnel policies. Keeps all required licensures and certifications current.
