nurse is responsible for the care of the pediatric patient under
the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Competent nursing
care is delivered based on a documented assessment and plan of care
of the patient/family's needs developed by a Registered Nurse.
Participates in health care decision making by communicating
observations to the health care team. Is involved in the education
of the patient and family to improve patient health outcomes when
under the supervision of the RN or physician.
Promotes a customer service oriented environment and acts as a
change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all
customers in a cost effective manner. Demonstrates skills in
working with neonates, infants, children adolescents, and adults.
Must have strong understanding of growth and development for these
age groups. Participates at unit level in the formulation of policy
within the field of responsibility.
Department Specific Job Details:
Dayton Children's Home Care provides pediatric home care 24 hours a
day, 365 days a year to children in 22 counties. We offer a wide
variety of services from caring for children with long term chronic
illnesses, premature births, education on safe equipment usage and
prevention of diseases, to caring for short term recovery from
injuries and hospitalizations.
Nursing Diploma (NOT a BSN): Nursing (Required)
Certification/License Requirements:
Lic RN: Registered Nurse (RN) - Ohio Board of Nursing, CPR:
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association
