Enterprise Big Data Solution help maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our business services and customers.Job Summary:Experienced Snowflake Cloud Data Platform Administrator, who will plan, design, develop and implement Snowflake cloud data platform that follows industry best practices.Snowflake administrator will be integral part of team that is responsible for technical deployments for Snowflake working with internal and external customers.Snowflake administrator with broad range of skills and experience ranging from security, performance analysis, observability, automation.What you will be doingWork in a globally distributed team to provide robust enterprise data platform in SnowflakeDesign, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the snowflake cloud data platform. Including cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditingImplement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake Implement Snowflake standards and methodologies for DB security both infrastructure and app levelImplement/support automation for administering Snowflake - Accounts/Databases and access rolesImplement data sharing /replication cross cloud/cross region for internal/external clientsCreate Snowflake utilization and capacity planPropose and implement DB / Snowflake query performance optimizations.Identify system bottlenecks and recommend solutionsImplement Snowflake user /query log analysis and alertsImplement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI dataWork as admin on Snowflake on AWS i.e., Configuration, Data migration and securityWhat you bring:Technical expertise in all aspects of SnowflakeExperience in implementing Snowflake external functionsExperience securing sensitive data PII/PCI data in snowflakeHands-on experience in administering Snowflake in AWS.Experience with AWS CLI and NetworkingKnowledge of security (SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos, Policies, entitlements etc.)Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systemsExperience with developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations, and alertsKnowledge of security controls for the public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management)Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis requiredHands-on experience in administration of relational Databases, Data Warehouse and Data marts.Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS alerting/monitoring toolsExperience with Agile and DevOps conceptsStrong development skills in Python or other scripting languageStrong communication and written skillsExperience working collaboratively with broad range of people across different lines of businessCulture of continuous education to keep up to date on ever-evolving Snowflake product enhancement to be an authoritative resource for SnowflakeKnowledge of financial industry practices, regulations and operations.Experience & Certifications:Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of work experience (or) Masters Degree and 3+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.Minimum 3+ years of related experience in Snowflake administrationMinimum 5+ years of Database administration and data engineeringExperience using AWS servicesExtensive hands-on experience with SQLSnowflake Pro certificationAdded bonus if you have:AWS certificationWhat we offer you:A career at FIS is more than just a job.
