support.REQUIREMENTARCTOS is seeking a Modeling Infrastructure
Engineer to join our team supporting the Turbine Engine Division,
Aerospace Systems Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory
(AFRL/RQT). The Modeling Infrastructure Engineer applies knowledge
of engineering principles and practices to develop and maintain an
integrated modeling environment to assess complex aerospace
systems. In this role, you will work primarily on-site at USAF
facilities with experienced propulsion engineers and Model-Based
Systems Engineering (MBSE) subject matter experts (SMEs) on the
development of a digital engineering infrastructure in AFRL/RQT.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProgram, develop, and integrate engineering
software tools, processes, models, and data in an agile development
environmentSupport the installation, integration, and maintenance
of GOTS/COTS software and hardware across multiple on-site
computer-based analysis environmentsCollaborate with other program
engineers to create, maintain, and modify system modelsMaintain
up-to-date knowledge of digital engineering, modeling and
simulation, and industry best practices, to guide the development
of AFRL/RQT's performance modeling and analysis
capabilitiesKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSSoftware programming ability in
C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or similarFamiliarity with Windows server
administration and SQL server database managementFamiliarly with
Digital Engineering principlesFamiliarity with Systems Modeling
Language (SysML) and MBSE modeling toolsEDUCATIONAL, CLEARANCE AND
CERTIFICATIONB.S. degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or
related engineering or science degreePrior relevant technical or
project experience Ability to work independently and in teams on a
variety of projects simultaneouslyMust be a U.S. citizen with
ability to maintain a security clearance (up to Secret)Experience
integrating models within a multi-disciplinary analysis and
optimization environment (i.e. ModelCenter or similar
tool)Experience programming, developing, and/or managing a software
environment used to simulate aerospace system behaviorExperience
coordinating and executing tasks across cross-functional
disciplines and teamsPHYSICAL/WORKING ENVIRONMENTOffice work will
be accomplished in AFRL/RQT facilities at Wright-Patterson AFB,
OHOffice space is expected to be available at WPAFB, Area B,
Building 18Expectation is that work will be conducted on-site at
WPAFB, but some telework will be may be permitted on an as-needed
basis with concurrence from the customerTRAVELOccasional travel is
possible and when required will be performed under the guidelines
of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or Joint Travel Regulations
