Job Description:

Job Description Job Description Miamisburg Christian Church is a thriving, non-denominational church located in Miamisburg, Ohio, part of the growing Dayton metropolitan area. The church is led by Lead Pastor Mike Tuttle, who began his ministry at MCC in 2002 and has faithfully served the church for over two decades. Under his leadership, the church has continued to grow in health, unity, and community engagement. MCC currently offers two identical Sunday morning services at 9:30a and 11:00a, both featuring a modern worship style. The church averages around 650-700 people in attendance across both services, with a strong mix of young families, middle-aged adults, and established members who have called MCC home for many years. Beyond Sunday mornings, MCC’s heartbeat is centered around its mission to help people become disciples of Jesus. The church has a rich history of serving the Miamisburg community and is known for its welcoming, family-oriented environment. Core ministry areas include MCC Kids, MCC Students, and a growing community that fosters spiritual growth and authentic relationships. The student ministry, in particular, has a strong foundation of volunteers and leaders passionate about discipling the next generation, with weekly gatherings for middle and high school students that emphasize teaching, worship, and community. To better serve the next generation, MCC is currently remodeling a brand-new student ministry facility designed to create space for connection, discipleship, and outreach. This new building represents the church’s ongoing investment in helping students encounter Jesus and engage deeply in the life of the church. The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Student Pastor to oversee their entire student ministry at the church. The right candidate for this role will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the overall vision and direction of MCC’s middle and high school ministry in alignment with the church’s mission to help people find and follow Jesus together. Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and volunteers through consistent presence, encouragement, and discipleship. Recruit, equip, and empower adult and student volunteers to lead small groups, events, and relational ministry. Teach biblical truth in ways that connect with both new and maturing students, helping them apply Scripture to real life and cultural topics. Develop and implement outreach initiatives that help students engage their schools and community with the gospel, fostering a culture of invitation and mission. Plan and oversee weekly programming, retreats, trips, and events that foster connection, spiritual growth, and community. Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their students’ lives, providing communication, encouragement, and resources. Develop a clear discipleship pathway that helps students grow in their faith and equips them to disciple others. Maintain healthy administrative systems for scheduling, communication, and follow-up while fostering an environment of relational ministry. Collaborate with staff to integrate students into the broader life of MCC through serving, worship, and community involvement. QUALIFICATIONS: A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ marked by humility, integrity, and teachability. A clear sense of calling to student ministry and a passion for helping students meet and follow Jesus. Proven ability to lead and develop volunteers, fostering ownership and shared leadership. A strong leader who can inspire, unify, and direct both students and adults toward a common vision. A natural creative who brings fresh, engaging ideas to programming, teaching, and outreach while maintaining alignment with MCC’s culture. Strong relational skills and emotional intelligence, with an approachable, engaging personality. Ability to balance relational ministry with necessary organization and follow-through. Willingness to become an active member of Miamisburg Christian Church and live in alignment with its mission and values. Education Bachelor’s degree in ministry, biblical studies, or a related field preferred but not required.
