your family. Come join our team! Site Managers are responsible for
the adherence to operating standards, the development of
supervisory goals and objectives, and the management of labor hours
and expenses. Site Managers implement operating procedures and
ensure standards are met. Responsibilities of Position: Manage the
day-to-day operations of the site and provide leadership and
support to supervisors and foremen. Manage staff, including hiring,
training, performance management, counseling, and safety. Ensure
all safety and compliance standards are met or exceeded. Monitor
budget and operating metrics while diagnosing and improving
processes, procedures, and performance. Interact with internal and
external customers to resolve customer service concerns and ensure
regulatory compliance standards are met. Manage processes and
resources to meet productivity and efficiency goals. Manage and
approve applicable expenses. Forecast, implement, and monitor site
budget and business plans. Participate in regular P & L reviews to
ensure that actual cost and budgeted cost are being managed.
Prepare and present reports as necessary. Oversee personnel needs
of the operation to ensure an adequately trained workforce to meet
or exceed productivity metrics. Conduct investigations for
accidents, incidents, and property damage claims, completing
accurate and detailed reports and necessary follow-up. Formulate
and monitor short and long-term goals and action plans with the
Regional Maintenance Manager. Maintain proper records and files,
including all compliance and personnel records. Work with the
vehicle maintenance department to monitor and improve fleet
reliability, utilization, repair, and maintenance costs. *Specific
to Waverly Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with
all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: This position
will manage 1 to 10 employees. Skills & Abilities Needed for
Position: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and
decision-making skills. Computer skills: proficient in Windows and
Microsoft applications; AS400. Excellent customer service and
personnel management skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and
direct a large staff. Process and results-oriented with a
commitment to organizational success. Ability to prioritize work
and the placement of personnel, equipment, and material. Maintain a
positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a
manner that promotes good relationships with employees, co-workers,
and management. Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:
Knowledge of safety regulations and requirements (DOT & OSHA).
Ability to understand and analyze P & L statements and project
trends. Waste industry experience preferred. Minimum of 3 years’
experience in management preferred. Physical Requirements in a
Regular Workday: Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of
10 lbs. Continuously working outside in changing temperature,
wet/humid conditions. Continuously working in areas of dust, odors,
mist, gases, and other airborne matter. Frequently
stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling/climbing and/or balancing.
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects: Must have a valid DOT
Medical Card or be able to obtain prior to hire. No more than 3
moving violations within the last 2 years. Must not have any DUI's
or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years. Legally
eligible to work in the United States. Valid driver’s license (if
applicable). Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak the English language. This job
